Bless the Lord

"You give and take away for my good. For who am I to say what I need? For You alone see the hidden parts of me that need to be stripped away. And as You begin to refine, I’m learning to let go and rely on One who walks with me. As hard as it may be, You’re teaching me all the while to say: Bless the Lord, O my soul. All that’s in me bless Your name, Forget not Your power un- told, not Your glory or Your fame. For You came to heal the broken, to redeem and make me whole. Bless the Lord, O my soul." As I was listening to this song today. I kept mediating on the words and realizing the depth of what is being said, and how foolish I have been. I still keep thinking about the parts where it says "He gives and takes away for my good." It might be hard to have things taken away but it is for my good, and for His glory to be shown throughout my response. "Who am I to tell Him what I need?" I cannot even begin to count how many times I would say, think, believe that if I had this or if I was like this I would be satisfied. "He see's those hidden parts of me that need to be stripped away." "As hard as it may be, You're teaching me all the all the while to say: Bless the Lord." Lord I pray that soon VERY soon that I will be satisified in YOU ALONE. Not in my desires, circumstances, or trails but that I will truly be able to say "Bless the Lord for ________ or Bless the Lord for __________." Oh I long for that day Lord when I am free from everything and not just somethings. Thank you for showing me my sin, bringing strong conviction and true repentance.

What an amazing song! I've never heard it, but I'd love to memorize it. :) I love your vulnerable heart...and your haircut looks great! I look forward to hearing about Celebration.
