And because she said I could...

This is Jennifer, in for Kathy tonight. I have a couple of (overdue) pictures of myself and Melanie (though, Mel, we're due for a new one of just us :o). Here they are in random order...back to you, Kathy!

Thankful Thursday

My sweet friend Janna shared with me that some people use their blogpage on Thursdays to write what they are thankful for. Some of the things that I am thankful for.... 1. The opprotunity to go to Haiti next Monday. 2. That I finished another year of teaching preschool, despite some of the challenges that came my way 3. That I have an amazing church, with friends who love, challenge and encourage me. 4. That within the church I have developed friendships with families to be able to serve them and their children. The pictures below are 1. My M/W/F class field trip to the zoo 2. Children praying 3. My friend Janna, 4. Alyssa & Meredith Traugott....aren't they adorable? 5. Brianna & Jacob Davis and Katelyn & Hallye Jones....I miss being with them already

Please Pray....

Please pray for a family friend. His name is Mark and he is 23 years old. His parents are very close friends with my dad and I spent lots of summers & holidays with Mark and his family. He had a stroke last night and they are not expecting him to live. They had to put him into a coma. Test results show that he cannot move the right side of his body. Please pray for his mom who just buried her own mother and is also battling a major illness at this time. Please also pray for peace for my dad and that this trial might bring Him closer to understanding our need for the Gospel. Thank-you!

Drumroll please.....

I have recieved ALL my money for my missions trip! PRAISE GOD! Last night I got a phone call from a dear friend from a church I use to go too. I was telling her about Haiti, and how much I had raised and I told her that I had only $60 to go. I did not send them a letter because I knew they were saving up money for future missions trips and to adopt a little girl from China. So she talked to her husband and they have decided to pay the $60. I cannot believe it. God has been so faithful in this process and I pray that I use this opportunity to glorify God and that my dad will see that this is His will for me to go, but to also realize what a wonderful God we serve. How amazing! I wish it were not late. I want to call someone and celebrate. Thank-you for your prayers and support. I look forward to see all that the Lord has planned for me, for the others on my trip and most of all for the lives that He is going to touch not just in Haiti but those that read the stories. Less than 28 days to go.... I am thinking of that song "How can I keep from singing," by: Chris Tomlin. Enjoy the words since I can't play the song on my blog. There is an endless song Echoes in my soul I hear the music ring And though the storms may come I am holding on To the rock I cling How can I keep from singing Your praise How can I ever say enough How amazing is Your love How can I keep from shouting Your name I know I am loved by the King And it makes my heart want to sing I will lift my eyes In the darkest night For I know my Savior lives And I will walk with You Knowing You'll see me through And sing the songs You give I can sing in the troubled times Sing when I win I can sing when I lose my step And fall down again I can sing 'cause You pick me up Sing 'cause You're there I can sing 'cause You hear me, Lord When I call to You in prayer I can sing with my last breath Sing for I knowThat I'll sing with the angels And the saints around the throne

For my friend Medana and be prepared.....

Sweet Medana wanted an updated post. I don't know if she wanted just something different or if she wanted to hear what God has been doing. I have a feeling is the second half of the answer. But before I do that I just want to say "outloud" in the blog world how much I love and ADORE my friend Medana. For those of you who may not know her, Medana is an amazing mother and wife. Almost every Wednesday night, she opens her home to a group of us so that we can meet to worship our Father and dive into the word. Just to add to her craziness during the day she is busy homeschooling her two precious children Taylor and Colin and then keeping up with sweet Lauren, she is preparing the house and always finding ways to serve others. She is always full of joy, and continues to pour out the love of our Savior into the lives of the younger girls in our group. What I enjoy most about her is spending time with her and her family. They make me laugh (there is never a dull moment :) and I always walk away from there house knowing that I am loved and cared for. I am SO blessed to be apart of her life and look forward to seeing how the Lord continues to grow and bless our friendship. I think you are absoutletly beautiful and adore you with all my heart. I love you! So here is an update, not really much to say, about what is going on if any of you are wondering. I still do not know a single thing on where I am going when the school year ends in less than 3 weeks. Who knows what I am going to be doing. The thought even crossed my mind 2 nights ago about moving back to Georgia (but it is NOT an option....so no worries). What happened this morning at worked only made this sitting and waiting on God even harder. Please pray that Gods peace, wisdom and discernment would be poured over my life. Deep in my heart I know all that He is doing right now is only to continue to break down that besetting sin, the walls that around my heart and that pride that could not get any more prideful. But this is hard, and I feel like I am loosing a lot right now and I am honestly scared of what my life is going to look like if this continues on. Thanks for your prayers and encouragement! Love you all! Goodnight :o)
