O Christmas tree....

Well I had NO plans of putting up Christmas decorations this year, not because I was being a scroge but more because it would be just me looking at them (and who wants to go through all of that) and wanting my house to be perfect if I was going to put anything up. Well I gave up on having other people over or my house being perfect, and decided that I needed something to celebrate Christmas so here is a picture of my tiny little tree, stockings, and then I put out a candle, wreath and a few other small things around the house. That my friends will be the extent of my Christmas decorations :) MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Airport Craziness and a Thank YOU!

I had to share with you the craziness that proceeded on the Sunday after Thanksgiving at the BUSIEST airport in the world. This is LONG but I had to include everything. I will give you this. Check-in and security in both airports went very smoothly. I was checked in and through security in less than 30 minutes, which was AMAZING considering when I was there. So here comes the comical part (at least I thought it was) My dad and I went up to Atlanta on Sunday morning for lunch (and of course a little shopping ;) I had just called about at an hour before I was suppose to be at the airport and they said everything was on schedule so we decide to head on over because we had no clue how bad traffic would be. As soon as I checked in and I see my dad pulling away they say your flight has been canceled. You need to fly out on the 8:45 tonight. UGH! I was in tears before I got to the counter because I was sad about leaving my dad (that's something I will have to explain to you if you really want to know) so anyways she finds me a standby flight. I get there (that airport is HUGE and of course mine is the furthest away) and then ONCE I get there I was shifted from one gate to another. Only to find out that the standby flight that I was going for at 3:09 was canceled too. But there was a flight at 2:09 (mind you it is around 2:30) that had not left yet so I get on standby there. I had never done standby before so I was clueless in what to do. I was standing in line why they put everyone that had a ticket on the plane. I turn around to ask someone something and the couple behind her jump in front of us :( I wonder if the lady that gave me the ticket had ever seen a response like mine. I jumped up and said thank you SO much and THRILLED that I was going to make it on. I manage to get on the plane, called to let my dad know, and then trying to get a hold of Rebekah to let her know I was coming in earlier. We did not lift off when we were suppose to. We were on the runway for over a half an hour. The kicker was with all those people trying to get on planes they were saying that had no room on any flights (there was even a family of four that did not get on before me), but I was the last one on and the had 20 plus empty SEATS! It was crazy. I got 3 seats to myself :) Well once I get on the plane I realize my luggage was suppose to go on the flight at the 3:09, so when I got there poor Rebekah had gotten there early (gone around to many times with her boys not so happy in the back seat) so I did not see my luggage. So I left (not putting a claim in-opps :) Samuel was so excited to see me (which TOTALLY made my day :) I got my car, and I called AirTran (my luggage somehow had arrived) went back to the airport to pick it up. I was home by 8. So I was originally supposed to be home at 6:00, then got pushed to 10. Then I was able to make it to an earlier flight but had all the luggage issues. I am just VERY thankful that I got home especially after CRAZY plane ride coming home. In the dozen times I have flown have never had a bumpy ride like that. I felt like I was on one of the crazy fair rides that Lindsay forced me on last year :) Yes that was very LONG day but I am home and not stuck at an airport ☺ I cannot end this story without saying a HUGE thank you to a dear friend (and yes I know who you are but I won't disclose so you can keep your secret but I found out through some investigating and figuring it out on my own who you are.... ;) You made my day, and brought me to tears that you would even take the time to do that and bless me. There are really no words that could possibly describe the deep gratitude I have towards you. Thank you again. And that my friends is how the Sunday after Thanksgiving went ☺

I have been tagged!

I have been tagged! I know you are suppose to go to the 5th file to the 5th picture but since I am in Georgia I decided that I would use one of the pictures on my camera and of course it had to be Cissy and her precious girls :) We went to Sea World (sometime back in October) and this picture was one of many that we tried taking on that rock :) It was a wonderful day and full of lots of funny memories :) Thanks again Cissy for letting me go with you and for allowing me to be apart of your girls lives the few times I get to see them now. It means so much to me. You are an inspiration in the way you live your life. Thank you for all that you do to care for these three precious girls and the daily sacrifices you make. I pray that one day I have the opportunity to adopt children and to love, nurture and protect them just like you. You are a blessing! Since everyone I know has been tagged, I just tag you all again and say you use the number 8 this time :) and use that to get your next picture :)

Marriage is between ONE man and ONE WOMAN

I hope to update soon what I have been up to the past month but until then there is something that I strongly believe in and that is that marriage is between one MAN and one WOMAN but even more now as Florida is fighing to keep it as that. My friend Jennifer did an amazing job on her blog page explaining more of what is going on here in Florida for those of you out of town that read my blog and are wondering what in the heck I am talking about read up on her blog (just click on her name underneath my favorite blogs) But before I go I was shocked when I read this last night on the Apple home page. "Apple is publicly opposing Proposition 8 and is making a donation of $100,000 to the No on 8 campaign. Apple was among the first California companies to offer equal rights and benefits to our employees’ same-sex partners, and we strongly believe that a person’s fundamental rights — including the right to marry — should not be affected by their sexual orientation. Apple views this as a civil rights issue, rather than just a political issue, and is therefore speaking out publicly against Proposition 8." There is so much I want to say, but I can't seem to find the right words to say so I am going to end with that I am voting yes for Amendment 2.

Celebration

FYI: My spell check is not working for some crazy reason and I know I mispelled some words :) Here are a few of my favorite pictures from Celebration. I did not take as many as I would have liked, but I know Jenn and Tara got quite a few so I will have to get those from the sometime soon and post some of those. The first 2 are in the car on our way over, and yes the car is still moving while Jeremy turns around at the wheel-I was laughing so hard. The one of the girls is adorable especially, Katelyn and the pure exictment on her face. The next 2 were of Hallye & Brianna. Those girls were inseparable the whole entire weekend. To think of the memories that those girls made. Worshiping & going to class together, a huge bubble bath, sleeping in a closet on a tiny rollaway bed, to running in the field behind our house. What joy it brings to my heart to have the opportunity to know them and watch them grow up. The last one was taken on our way home right before the girls crashed in the car for an hour :) I loved having the chance to take and pick them all up from their class, and here the exictment in their voices or just hangout with them. Thank you again Kristen, Jeremy, Tara, Kyle, and my sweet friend Jennifer for allowing me to stay with you. For the many conversations, sillness, and laughter and just the chance to be with and there is all the things I can't repeat, like what happened on the last day ;). You are a blessing and joy in my life. Love you all!

My dad and I

I got a few pictures with my dad right before he left. They are out of in order of how it happened (Jenn just kept clicking away and my dad was being a goof ball as always) But I was VERY thankful to have him here (even in the crazy times). I am thankful for the way he loves me, supports me, and for how he protects me in ways that I am not even aware of. He is a blessing. I love you daddy! My favorite one is the 4th one, where we both have that same smile with our eyes closed.

Haircut :)

Well I cut my hair again. Though it might not look that short, there was enough hair on the ground to prove that she cut off and thinned out my hair A LOT. It feels SO much better (I just pray that I can get it to look like this when I do it!!) Off to finish packing for Celebration :)
