Healer
I love this song, but when I heard this little girl in the video sing it the other day this song became even more meaningful to me. SO many people recently I know lately have been dealing with cancer, health issues, death of loved ones that had battling different diseases and seeing how she has chosen to glorify God through these difficult circumstances is beyond what I can even comprehend. It made me realize that I need to have faith for these friends & family, and be in prayer for their lives. I love seeing God glorify Himself through children. He is worthy to be praised.
P.S. The day she sang this song was the first day in 7 months that she had been back to church, and the pastor came up to her that morning and asked her if she wanted to sing that song at the end of the service. I think she did an AMAZING job for being so young and finding out that morning :)
"I believe You're my healer
I believe You are all I need
I believe You're my portion
I believe You're more than enough for me
Jesus, You're all I need
You hold my every moment
You calm my raging seas
You walk with me through fire
And heal all my disease
I trust in You
I trust in You
I believe You're my healer
I believe You are all I need
I believe You're my portion
I believe You're more than enough for me
Jesus, You're all I need
Nothing is impossible for You
Nothing is impossible for You
Nothing is impossible for You
Nothing is impossible for You!"

I'm back....
I can't believe this summer is almost over, and that we have our last camp next weekend for work. Then I begin the process of taking over another job, plus my everyday normal stuff :) It's going to be interesting. August is going to be interesting, but i am trusting God has a bigger plan that even I understand, at least that is my hope. I am going to try to do better about keeping up with this and posting more pictures, stories, and the honest truth about what has really been going on in my life, though I already know some people are not going to want to hear it but ready or not here it comes!! BUT I thought it would be fun to start off my first blog back with something funny and boy is this funny (well at least it is to me). Just watch this video, and wait to see the bride walk down at the very end. Guess what ladies (and gentleman who read this blog) I will SO be doing this at my wedding because well I NEVER ever go out of my box, always play it safe & cool, and well I think this would be SO much fun and not my norm. I probably would be wise and choose another song because this one isn't so great lyric wise. Oh I know yall are probably rolling on the ground laughing at me, and thinking yeah right she would do that (and your probably right in some sense) but a girl can dream. Though these days I seriously doubt I will ever get married because of my past and the way things have continue to go. ANYWAYS, enough of the craziness now enjoy the video :) I can't wait to hear what you think!

Last night & something to encourage your weary soul
Last night I had the opportunity to take this precious girl out. I had SO much fun, and was so blessed by her presence. I will try to upload pictures and share more of our fun night soon :)
I also wanted to share a song that I was thinking about today. He restores us again and again, and He is with us through EVERY dark valley. How kind is He. Thank you Lord for these words, and the hope that they bring to my weary soul. I pray that these encourage you as much as they have to me.
The Lord Is
Music by Pat Sczebel, Words by Pat Sczebel and Bob Kauflin
as recorded on Psalms
The depths of Your grace who can measure
You fully supply all I need
You restore my weary soul again and again
And lead me in Your righteousness and peace
You’re with me through every dark valley
There’s nothing that I have to fear
You are there to comfort me again and again
Protecting me, assuring me You’re near
The Lord is
The Lord is my shepherd
The Lord is
The Lord is my shepherd
I shall not want
You gave Your own life for my ransom
So I could rejoice at Your side
You have shown Your faithfulness again and again
There’s nothing good that You will not provide
I will dwell in Your house
All the days of my life
I will dwell in Your house
All the days of my life

This is our God
Tonight on my way home I was singing this song "This is our God," and I was moved to tears as I thought about tomorrow. I thought about this past year, and the faithfulness & kindness of what God has done in my life, but how He has also opened my eyes to see what my sins did to His son on the Cross. I pray that this will drive me to my knees in repentance to cry out for my loved ones who do not know Him.
The hope of every nation, the joy of every heart
The King who won salvation, the God who comes for us
Oh, the world must see Your love and Majesty
This is our God, this is our King
This is the anthem of the redeemed
Tell the whole world, let everyone sing
This is our God, this is our King
The Light that broke the darkness, The Champion over death
Victorious forever, Your Kingdom never ends
Of, the world must see Your love and Majesty
This is our God, this is our King
This is the anthem of the redeemed
Tell the whole world, let everyone sing
This is our God, this is our King

FREEdom from sin's power!
"A Gospel Primer" Freedom from Sin's Power.
"As long as I am stricken with the guilt of my sins, I will be captive to them, and will often find myself re-committing the very sins about which I feel most guilty. The Devil is well aware of this fact; he knows that if he can keep me tormented by sins guilt, he can dominate me with sins power. The gospel, however, slays sin at this root point and thereby nullifies sin's power over me. The forgiveness of God, made known to me through the gospel, liberates me from sin's power because it liberates me first from its guilt; and preaching such forgiveness to myself is practical way of putting the gospel into operation as a nullifier of sins power in my life." WOW! Isn't that AMAZING? What rich words!
The other night I was ONCE again struggling with anger & having a bad attitude (Now it is even more obvious to me why parents start YOUNG to stop bad attitudes/anger because when you get old like me...YIKES!!:). Did not realize how much this had settled into my life and had become a besetting sin! Not something I care to admit out loud or even think about. But God has been gracious enough to continue to bring it up in my life in many situations and thankfully I have been convicted about it though it has been very obvious that I am still not responding well. I had to go and ask a friend for forgiveness (AGAIN!) and when I got home I read this and was reminded of Satan's stronghold in my life (GULIT!!) but more important of the amazing grace, forgiveness and freedom that comes from the Gospel and applying it in my life. Even though it has been baby steps of change I am so grateful for His kindness and goodness in my life and how he continues (over & over again) to draw me to His side and teach me that I am NOTHING, nothing without Him.
Lord I repent of my anger and the bad attitude that continues to flow out of my heart, even though you have given me everything I need. Lord Help me to see that all I need is you not what I want or think I need. Please set me free from these besetting sins and to see the power of the Gospel in my life. I love you Lord.

Valentines Day
If I were being honest (which I am) I would tell you that I was NOT looking forward to Valentine's day for MANY reasons. I just wasn't going forward to it but the day ended up being more amazing then I thought it would be.
My day actually started on Friday. I was blessed my friend Dena and her kiddos with the beautiful flowers (they dropped them of Thursday) but what a way to start Valentines weekend. Then EARLY Saturday morning I got up and meet up with my "other family" (NO comments on that one) to go and meet Grandmother & Granddaddy and we had a camping breakfast which was OH so yummy and watching Edgewater (GO EAGLES!) crew team at Turkey Lake. It was SO much fun. Then I came home to find 2 sweet cards in my mailbox from a dear friend, and my sweet dad. I rested for a little while then went over to Jenny & Stephanies as we got ready (having fun pampering ourselfs with manicures, pedicures and straightening Jenny's hair :) Then off to dinner with some friends, then ice cream (and I did not get Mango in mine :), then to play games (I finally understood and like the game PIT) and then to finish off the night we got Starbucks :) It was a great day and the best part of it was being with my friends and the thoughtful cards and gifts that I recieved that day. Thank you to all who made that day SO special for me.
